A “blog” stands for a web log, which is an online publication of different peoples writing. Blogs are run by one person, who posts information, and then other people are allowed to comment on the posts. They are used to share experiences such as a trip that someone took or information on a certain topic or class. An example of a thematic blog is our CPVI blog (link - http://nobles.typepad.com/cpvi0708term4/). It is used to check our homework and class schedule and reduces the paper that we use. It can also be used as an online journal with no specific theme. This link leads to a blog (http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/) that is political and surrounds the 2008 u.s. presidential election.

:-?Can you find and link examples of a political blog, a personal blog, a thematic blog? Ms. S-H
I have found many political blogs along with the one found above by Kim at http://www.slate.com/id/2111775/year/2008/landing/1/, an example of a personal blog is http://www.mytripjournal.com/lara_and_terry_in_greece (a blog on two people's trip experiences [found through Google]), and a thematic blog is a blog with a dedicated theme, an example is http://www.roamingtales.com/2008/02/07/travel-blogs-thematic-blogs/.
