What is a "podcast"?

According to Wikipedia, a podcast is a series of digital-media files which are distributed over the Internet using syndication feeds for playback on portable media players and computers.

The term podcast comes from the words iPod and broadcast. Podcasts can be only sound, or they can be sound and video feed. Podcasts are very popular on Itunes and can be about anything. A podcast must be distributed to other people using the internet.
