Biography:

Dan Reid comes to Nobles from Dexter Southfield School, where he coached both the boys and the girls. He was drawn to Nobles having met a number its oarsmen and women from his time coaching in the summers with the Cambridge Boat Club juniors. Prior to 2013, Dan had coached with the United States Naval Academy lightweights, and led programs at clubs in Pittsburgh and Ontario. He learned to row in his hometown of Brockville, Ontario and went on to serve as captain for the Harvard lightweights while earning championships at the Royal Canadian Henley, Eastern Sprints, and IRA regattas. Dan started his professional coaching career at Williams College, where his last freshman crew went undefeated through the New England Championships. He is excited to work on a longer-term basis with the driven, persistent and tough athletes that Nobles attracts and develops.
