About This Team

The girls cross country program emphasizes the three core principles of all athletics: sportsmanship, camaraderie and teamwork. Balancing levity with moments of focused workouts, the program has done very well over the past ten years. Winners of ISL titles and New England Championships in recent years, the program has grown exponentially and the athletes all understand that in order to ensure a “successful” season they need to start pre-season in June building a solid base so that speed and strength can be gradually added at the end of August. In addition, the runners recognize that if you build a trusting and supportive team then all expectations can be exceeded. The coaches serve as resources and lean heavily on the captains for leadership, sportsmanship, and modeling humility.
