Improving water quality in Flint, Michigan. Stopping the spread of the Zika virus in South America. Developing violence prevention policies to address gun violence in Chicago, Illinois. Public health professionals tackle the world’s most pressing health challenges every day. They have their finger on the pulse of today’s local, national, and global health problems and they work to anticipate and prepare for the challenges of tomorrow. They are passionate about helping people – and they know that one of the best ways to instill positive change is through public health, which can reach hundreds, thousands, or even millions of people at one time. And through our Public Health Summer Immersion program, you will get a front row seat to this dynamic field. This three-day program is designed for high school rising juniors and seniors with an interest in health sciences and a passion for learning.
