Urban Farming Institute
Boston and suburbs, Massachusetts, New England/Northeast

Come be a part of our community, see where local food is growing, right in the city! Whether you’re an individual interested in one time or ongoing projects, or a group wishing to participate, you can help provide valuable support to our work at the Urban Farming Institute of Boston. Volunteer opportunities on the farm vary throughout the year. There’s always a need for all types of skills and experiences, so you don’t need to be a farmer to be involved. We engage in farm-volunteer tasks like: planting, weeding, composting, watering, and more. By volunteering with UFI, you or your group also have an opportunity to learn about a wide range of other things such as the role Urban Farming plays in the local food system and economy in Boston We hope that you will leave empowered to make tangible impacts on food injustice in our community. Whether you want to volunteer as an individual or as part of a group, Farm-volunteering, while hard work, we make it simple enough that everyone can make an impact regardless of age or experience. Together we can celebrate what our food system does right.
