Pre-Collegiate Summer Programs
Midwest

Are you the student who goes beyond the homework assignment because you can’t stop wondering? Do you find that answers often lead to more questions? And are you full of questions and excitement about the intellectual atmosphere of a college campus? Case Western Reserve University’s Pre-Collegiate Summer Programs fully immerse ambitious high school students (like you!) in a college curriculum for three weeks. You’ll experience conversations and activities just like our own undergraduates. Courses are taught by CWRU faculty, and you’ll live on campus, eat in the dining hall and take full advantage of the culture and inspiration of our location in Cleveland’s University Circle neighborhood. Programs include: Imagine Science Imagine learning the foundations and future of science directly from today’s top scientists. Go beyond the classroom and join scientists in the places and spaces where they do their own research: genomics labs, physics experiments, geological strata, astronomical observatories, paleontology collections and fieldwork, virtual and augmented reality facilities and beyond. Social Justice Students with a deep interest in social action around issues of local, national and global importance will find in this course a forum and laboratory for impactful scholarship and engagement. Innovation and Entrepreneurship Spend three weeks in our seven-story innovation center and see what you can do. This is the space that makes our students entrepreneurs and innovators. You will dream, design and build. And learn a lot along the way. Women in STEM Up your technical and professional game with a hands-on exploration of STEM careers and exposure to diverse role models.
