Immerse yourself in a college experience where you will raise your interests and abilities to new levels. Ranked 3rd in the U.S. and 10th in the world for undergraduate education, the University of Chicago offers you the chance to learn from scholars, researchers, and educators who are transforming the way we see our world. Our beautiful campus offers you opportunities to read for class under a tree on the quads, chat with friends at a student-run coffee shop, or people-watch at a sidewalk café. We're just a short bus ride from the city center and all that summer in Chicago has to offer, whether your tastes run to finding the best bubble tea in Chinatown, biking along the lakefront to your favorite beach, or searching for retro fashion finds in Pilsen. Summer at UChicago means never running out of things to learn, do, and enjoy. UChicago Immersion, Stones and Bones, and Research in the Biological Sciences are a carefully curated selection of pre-college summer programs whose courses are open only to high school students. These intensive 3 or 4-week summer courses are taught at the college level and kept small, offering both experiential and UChicago seminar-style learning. In addition to engaging in classroom discussions, you might use the latest lab equipment, dig for fossils, conduct research in Chicago neighborhoods, or work with some of the city's celebrated theater professionals, depending on the course selected. High school students may also enroll in Summer Quarter Undergraduate Courses offered each summer by the University of Chicago College in over 20 subject areas. Chicago Public Schools students apply for these courses as a Summer Bridge or as a Summer Session student. Explore UChicago summer courses available to high school students today!
