Chris Brownell has just completed her 7th season assisting the Nobles Girls Varsity Program. During her time at the school the team has won the ISL League title every season and 1 season placed 2nd in New England. She coached Gracie Doyle to a New England championship title in 2016 and helped guide the team in 2018 to receive the ISL Sportsmanship award. Currently she is the Head Teaching Professional at Newton Squash & Tennis Club and is a National Junior Coach for US Squash, having lead successful squads to countries Canada, Paraguay and England. Coach Brownell has taken 7 junior tours to Europe to compete in the Dutch and German Junior Opens. She successfully coached her son Timmy to the US Junior Open championship in 2014. She also was a college coach at Harvard, Dartmouth and Wellesley before starting a career in junior coaching in 2001. As a player she was an All American at Dartmouth College and was ranked as high as #2 in the U.S. and 37 in the world on the WISPA Tour. Coach Brownell has 2 graduates that she coached at Nobles, daughters Becky '14 and Jesse '19.
