Kate Blake is wrapping up her second year as head coach of Nobles’ newest addition, track and field. Having headed up the program’s inaugural year in 2019, the first season offered since 1945, Coach Blake is thrilled with the enthusiasm the team has inspired and the successes the squad has achieved. Prior to coaching at Nobles, Blake was the head coach of girls cross country and track and field at Lexington High School, where many of her athletes participated in state, regional, and national competitions. She was also an assistant coach in both sports at Weston High School.

A lifelong runner and athlete, Blake played soccer, basketball, and ran track at Lexington High School. She continued in soccer and track at Haverford College in Pennsylvania, where she was honored as the Centennial Conference Indoor and Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year. She competed at several NCAA Division III Championships and distinguished herself as a two-time All-American in the 3000 meter run.

Blake teaches ninth and twelfth grade English at Nobles and coaches middle school cross country in the fall. At Nobles, she has also coached soccer, basketball, varsity girls tennis, and varsity boys cross country. She continues to compete in 5k and 10k road races, as well as the occasional half-marathon.
