Biography:
Kara received her bachelor’s degree in Geology from Amherst College where she earned All-American honors in field hockey and learned how to play lacrosse. Following graduation, Kara served as a graduate assistant in field hockey and lacrosse at Gettysburg College, before moving on to Franklin & Marshall as the Head Coach of both sports (’96 – ’99).  She was named the IWLCA Regional Coach of the Year in ’98.  Kara continued on to Trinity College (‘99-’06), where she led the lacrosse program and assisted the field hockey team.  She enjoyed a one-year stint as an assistant coach of lacrosse at Hanover High School, Hanover, NH (’07), before settling in Dedham with her growing family.  Kara joined the NGVL staff shortly thereafter and has served as an assistant with the program since 2008. Kara also serves as an assistant coach of the varsity field hockey team.
